About the Los Angeles County Alliance  (please note that this site is currently useable but being refined)

Braver Angels of Los Angeles is working in our local communities by holding workshops, debates and public presentations designed to bridge the polarizing political divide we experience in our country and our county. These events allow conservatives, liberals and a diverse group of others to get past the destructive stereotypes so we can have civil conversations about real issues that lead to productive problem-solving and stronger communities.  Our events are a mixture of in-person gatherings along with online (Zoom) opportunities and we coordinate with the other Alliances (chapters) in the Southern CA area to broaden all of our offerings, as well as those provided by Braver Angels National.  We are entirely Volunteer led and can always use your assistance, support and leadership in this very important work.  It is truly transforming for ourselves as well!

Our mission is to introduce and activate citizens to the Braver Angels process of depolarization and civil discourse through:

• Attendance at Free Workshops, building awareness, skills and relationships

• Community Debates, Panel Discussions and Town Halls

• Speaking & Outreach Engagements

• 1:1 Conversations Across Divides including "Walk A Mile in My News"

• Alliance Meetings & Discussions

• Collaboration with Fellow Organizations working on depolarization

• and more…
